Enjoy an exclusive 20% off London’s best immersive experience — The Great Murder Mystery

London is a melting pot of trends and immersive experiences are the craze of the moment. With so many of them on offer, it is hard to find one that is entertaining without compromising on the quality of the food or delicious without lacking creativity.

Lucky for you, I’ve tried and tested many and have found just the one that offers both and more! The Great Murder Mystery is an immersive experience like no other, the best in London and a personal favourite of mine, and this is your chance to enter the most exclusive venue in town that is 221B Baker Street with an exclusive 20% discount.

So what is The Great Murder Mystery about and what makes it special?

The Great Murder Mystery is a retelling of Sherlock Holmes’ darkest case, The Hound of the Baskervilles. This hair-raising thriller is brought to life by the perfect cast and has kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Cleverly - and somewhat frustratingly too, the interval always finds itself conveniently at a cliffhanger, resulting in the dinner conversations being nothing else but guesses on what could happen next.

The Lost Estate does not take immersive experiences lightly. So when they say it’s an “immersive experience”, it truly is immersive. The actors get real close to the audience, and no, we’re not merely spectators at a performance but attendants at this highly-anticipated press conference.

Mind you, I don’t want to give too much away and spoil the surprise. However, let’s just say that if you’re the thrill-seeking, mystery-solving type, then The Great Murder Mystery is the perfect experience for you!

Let’s talk about the food!

The three-hour experience is made all the more enjoyable by a carefully crafted three-course feast, live music and a delectable cocktail menu. I went for the Bengal Swizzle, a tropical cocktail that is both sweet and spicy. Everything on the menu is specially crafted to reflect the traits of Sherlock or the storyline. It’s ingenious!

Pick your poison from the luxury drinks trolley or get a recommendation from one of the knowledgeable sommeliers at the venue - after all, a drink (or two) may help you see the case in a different light (at least that’s my experience!)

The final touches

Whilst not compulsory, I’d suggest you put on your best Victorian outfit, just as I did and immerse in the world of Sherlock Holmes at The Great Murder Mystery. It’s quite a spectacle to see everyone looking either they’ve fallen out of a Jane Eyre novel or resembling the famous detective.

I picked out pieces I already own to create the best Victorian attire I can replicate. If you are struggling, a mix and match of beige, brown, white and black seems to work brilliantly. Otherwise, a dark trench coat, a deerstalker hat and a pipe make a perfect Sherlock Holmes uniform.

Hand on heart, there has never been a more delicious and thrilling case to uncover. The Great Murder Mystery is the best night out I’ve had in a long time and I urge everyone to check it out if you haven’t already.
